If you’re a member of the military, you can get great discounts at places all over the United States. These companies are more than happy to provide deals to those who fight for our nation. If you’ve never shopped at these places, here are some great locations to show your Military ID.

Best Restaurant Discount

Lonestar Steakhouse & Saloon has plenty of delicious appetizers and meals for anyone and the discount at this restaurant is fantastic. All veterans and active duty military receive a free entrée from the Stars and Stripes menu. Depending on the location, some Lonestar Steakhouse restaurants also provide a 10%-20% discount.

Best Electronics Discount

Microsoft has plenty of sales for those in the military as a way to show appreciation. You can get Office 365 for $69.99 per year, which is a 30% discount from the regular price. This program comes with the full Office Suite including Skype, so it’s easy to call family while you’re away from home.

Best Health Discount

Group Health Eye Care offers a discount for all federal employees, military, and retirees of 20% on all prescription eyeglasses while shopping at its optical shops. Additionally, service members can receive a 20% one-time discount on contact lenses.

Best Retail Discount

Foot Locker offers a military discount for those who are currently or have served in the United States Military. The deal allows you save 20% off on most purchases, although Foot Locker may require you to validate your service to qualify for any savings. Spouses and dependents may also qualify for this discount.

Best Entertainment Discount

Cinemark offers a military discount at a number of theaters across the United States. You can find a full listing of the locations on the site. The discount varies from theater to theater, but regular movies can cost as little as $8.

If you’re an active military member and your children are having a difficult time in school, you can get free assistance at tutor.com. The site offers support for service members whether they’re in college or their children need help with homework in grades K-12.

Car insurance can be very expensive, but GEICO offers a discount of 15% on the total insurance premium. If you have a $1,400 six-month premium, you can see a savings of $210. That’s like getting a free month of service.

Best Travel Discount

Spending a weekend at Disney is cheap and fun for military personnel. The discounts change occasionally, so check back regularly. Currently the discount through December 19th, 2016 is four-day admission for $196 plus tax.
